Read this before you buy, hold, stake or use MUFT. It describes the risks as they stand today, based on the contracts on BNB Smart Chain and the facts in the whitepaper.
Market risk
- Crypto assets are highly volatile. The price of MUFT can fall sharply or to zero, and you can lose all the money you put in.
- Past prices say nothing about future prices. Nobody can promise a return, and we do not.
Liquidity risk
- The PancakeSwap pool is very small, worth about $96 at the time of writing. Even small trades move the price a lot, and you may not be able to sell at the price you see.
- The liquidity is locked only until 20 January 2027, 00:47 UTC. 100% of the pool's LP tokens are locked on PinkLock (lock ID 2,098,124). After that date the owner wallet can withdraw them, and with them the pool's liquidity, unless the lock is extended. A lock protects the pool, not the price. Verify the lock on PinkLock.
Concentration risk
- The owner wallet holds about 99.9995% of the supply. It is intended for liquidity, staking rewards, Fan Hub prizes and marketing, and any allocation will be published on this site before it happens. Until then, a large movement or sale from this wallet could have a big effect on the price.
Owner and smart-contract risk
- One owner wallet controls the token, staking and Fan Hub contracts, with no multisig and no timelock. It can lower the tax, change the tax wallet, exempt addresses, register or unregister trading pairs, remove the wallet limit, fund staking rewards, enter Fan Hub results and transfer ownership. The full list is in the whitepaper.
- If the owner wallet is compromised, an attacker would gain these powers.
- The contracts have not been audited. The MUFT token source is verified on BscScan; verification of the staking and Fan Hub contracts is not confirmed. Smart contracts can contain bugs that lead to loss of funds.
Tax and trading costs
- Buys and sells through a registered trading pair are taxed at 3%, paid in MUFT to the tax wallet. Add network fees and price impact, and you will receive noticeably less than the quoted amount.
- Set slippage to around 4%. Higher slippage settings expose you to worse prices.
- While wallet limits are active, a wallet cannot receive transfers that would take it above 8,000,000 MUFT.
Staking and Fan Hub risk
- Staking rewards are paid only for periods the owner has funded. They can change, can stop, and are never guaranteed. At the time of writing no reward period has been funded.
- Fan Hub match results are entered by the owner, not by an independent data feed. Prizes are put up by the owner when a match is created and go back to the owner if nobody predicts correctly.
- Fan Hub weight is your voting power at the block before a poll or match is created. MUFT bought after that does not count, and if you delegate your voting power to another address you cannot vote or predict until you delegate back to yourself. If the owner wallet delegated its voting power to itself, it would control the outcome of any poll.
Wallet and security risk
- Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. Tokens sent to a wrong address are lost.
- Anyone who gets your recovery phrase or private key can take your tokens. We will never ask for them.
- Fake tokens with similar names and impersonators exist. Only trust the contract address on the buy page.
Legal and regulatory risk
- Rules on crypto assets differ between countries and can change. It is your responsibility to check that you may acquire and hold MUFT where you live, and to pay any taxes due.
- MUFT is an independent fan community token. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Manchester United Football Club or any player.
